winter 2010

we cleaned this silo

when we first arrived, it was full of junk

well, and snow.

we believed that cleaning it would be a way of appreciating the space.

it polished up nicely.

after the snow melted.

the dirt was layered with old grain.

this is a nail.

we started shoveling dirt and carrying out the junk, but realized we needed more power.

we pressure washed!

filling the whole place with water!

splish, splash.

we began to reveal the textures laid in the concrete.

and the stories that we began to make up.

revealed what was hidden.

it was good.

it became a platform to understand and create more with the space.

ultimately, allowing us to communicate what we saw to other people.
