So, we took a small modular house design and renovated it for an additional person. This person, let’s call Ronnie, is an extended family member. He is a writer just graduated from university. The home renovated is Kengo Kuma’s Plastic House. In the tight lots of Tokyo, this addition needed to maintain a minimal footprint while providing:
– A place to write,
– A place to sleep,
– A place to reflect,
– A place for books.
